Sonshine Early Education

Our mission is to offer an educational program to share and teach the Love of Christ while teaching concepts of language, math, fine motor and large motor and to nurture the social and emotional development of young children.

"Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life."

Proverbs 22:6 (GNT)

About Our Program

We are located in the basement of Emmanuel Church.  We have access to the gym in the Christ Center located on the Emmanuel Church campus.  Our teachers are certified through the state of Illinois in both Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education and have extensive teaching experience.  Volunteer aides help assist in the classroom. Curriculum is aligned with Illinois Early Learning Standards.

We are offering two classes.  The kindergarten readiness class is for students planning on entering kindergarten the subsequent year.  Students must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2022.  Sessions for the kindergarten readiness class will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30am to 11:00am.  A second class will be offered for students who are three or four years of age but are not planning to enter kindergarten in 2023.  Sessions for this class will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm.  Class size is limited to 15 students per class. Our sessions will begin on Monday, August 29, 2022 and then will follow the Morrison School District schedule.

This is a free program. All supplies, including a school bag, will be provided for the students.
